![]() ![]() Maybe not? While there might be an overall average of the signal level, signal to noise ratio and QAM level, that data should be broken down in to smaller frequency bands and hopefully the tech can find it. I'm assuming here that the smaller OFDM band data is accessible, as it is for the CODA-4582. The question is, are they all acceptable, and, what are the QAM levels that this modem is showing. Each band will have its own signal level, signal to noise ratio and QAM level. Within the OFDM channel data, there should be about 10 to 12 data points, representing small frequency bands within the OFDM channel. Rogers uses QAM levels of 4096 on the Hitron CODA-4582, and probably the same on the two XB6 modems used for the Ignite TV service. Ask the customer service rep to specifically check the OFDM signal levels and QAM levels. Reboot the computer if you had to change the setting.Īfter you've had a look at the autotuning level, call tech support to:ġ. Netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal Netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=experimental The values for this setting are shown on that microsoft page: Then, using a command prompt with administrator rights, run the following if you want to set the value to experimental. Run the following command at a command prompt to see what your Auto-Tuning level is currently set to: This situation of slow download rates has come up very recently with another customer and was resolved by setting the Receive Window Auto-Tuning level to normal if I remember it correctly. Other food for thought, if your using a windows based pc, have a look at the following page regarding the Receive Window Auto-Tuning level: ![]() You would have to ask tech support what data rate the modem is provisioned for. So, I wonder if the modem is provisioned correctly to run at 1 Gb/s for the download rate. That modem is normally used for Third Party Internet Access (TPIA) providers. its actually useful for if i need to send in my laptop in for repair.? Rogers provided you with a TC4400 modem?Īre you able to log into the modem to check the modem signal levels? If so, you should be able to copy them and paste them into a post. if you do not beleave me on how long they devleope drivers for each device their is a page that specifies that in detail. andĪccording to HPs driver support policy, HP should have made Windows 7 drivers for the tc4400. it was supposed to be discontinued before the release of vista accourding to their driver support policy. the think my printer is getting more operating system drivers than it is supposed to be getting. It is simply a fact of life in the world of computers that eventuallyĪnd yet HP gives drivers for my 12 year old printer. Microsoft doesn't provide drivers for 3rd party hardware and if the OEMsĪren't going to support the devices any longer I'm not sure what you expect Trying to get everything to work with Windows 8. ![]() With a device that is 6 years old from an OEM that stopped providingĭrivers for it as of the release of Vista, you're going to be on your own and sadly HP does not support the tc440 with windows 7. however the ones that i need to useĪre not listed on the web site. at least the microsoft link conformed that 90% of my computers device drivers work with Windows 8 and i already tested those on my own. Hopefully the HP forums will have the fix. however they are not fixing the two issues that i of course then for using the tc4400 with Windows 7 or windows 8, i'm mostly using the drivers from the 2710p/2730p/2740p/2760p tablet PCs and they work very well with the tc4400. most users were only getting issues with the graphicsĬard when using windows 7. the odd thing is that i was googling the ambient light sensor issue and i think i was one of the few users getting that issue. its just too bad that i have to use the OEM CD or download the drivers from the HP web site to use the tc4400 with windows 7.Ĭan you give me the link to the HP forum, so that i can discus this issue there. at least Microsoft fixed those driver compatibility issues for windows 7. and as it is i had similar issues in the Windows 7 beta except that the ambient light sensor worked dorring the beta, which is odd. ![]()
